FAREWELL speech

            Greetings to everyone, especially to our teachers who always there for us, to my fellow 4^th year students who makes my life a memorable one, to my friends since I was a first year student till now who completes my high school life, and to the worst and the best friend I ever had.

            I don’t think that we really like school. Those who can, well, they’ll be at it for a long time. We always hear the phrase, “Don’t think of it as an ending but as a beginning.” Of course, we’ve also heard, “Now, is the starting line of our lives?” I say no. Tomorrow is really the starting line of our lives because today we will celebrate. We will celebrate goodbyes, and farewells. We will celebrate our success and our failures in life. Today, we will celebrate the friendship that we made and lost. And today, we will make our own way to start our journey tomorrow.

             I know we all have a lot of “remember when’s”. For my “barkada ”, remember when were freshmen and  we became friends because we have a farewell party even though we will be meeting next year. Remember when were 2^nd year high school we went to our friend’s house to have some fun and all of us were drunk except me because I tricked you. Today I bid thee all farewells. Farewell is a word meaning goodbye. Many people go off to war, go to work, or go to college. Everyone knows that someday we all have to say goodbye.

            Today I say farewell to you all. We are leaving behind some of the childish games and sports we once enjoyed. We are leaving simple subjects for harder ones. We are leaving this school, these classmates, and these teachers who have become so closely associated with our educational life. And we are taking with us memories, friendships, relationships, and knowledge that will help us through the rest of our life. Thank you and farewell.
